LEADERSHIP: A SPECIAL AND WISE JOB

Leadership is stated as the "process of social influence in which one person can enlist the aid and support of others in the accomplishment of a common task. For such a definition, what makes a good leader? Thing that makes a good leader is to know deeply how to communicate what their desires are and is good at rallying people and supporters together to succeed at a common goal. They possess good character and set a good example. Then, leader does not command excellence, s/he builds excellence. Excellence is “being all you can be” within the bounds of doing what is right for your organization. To reach excellence you must first be a leader of good character.

The concept of being a leader is actually that good leader is made not born. If one has the desire and willpower, s/he can become an effective leader. Good leader develops through a never ending process of self-study, education, training, and experience (Jago, 1982). This guide will help a leader through that process. ... BE a professional who possess good character traits.

There are some aspects of being qualified and communicative leader.

First is Owning and running a successful activities that requires you to be a leader who inspires and guides those engaged in that activities. Leaders must be trustworthy before others will follow them. Warren Bennis, The Leadership Institute, University of Southern California, says qualities that establish trust are competence, constancy, caring, candor, and congruity.

Second is to learn what they are. This means to make a great corporation between the leader and his subordinates.

Third is a leader must have self-knowledge, commitment, willingness to look to others for support, being open to change, and a desire to go the extra mile—can determine whether anyone ... Being an effective leader does not always require moving heaven and earth.

Fourth is to have wisdom - the quality which enables the leader to apply knowledge according to the will of God. Knowledge is necessary to have wisdom, because it is necessary to learn and understand God’s and subordinates purposes and ways.

Fifth is to set a good example. This is to explain the reasons for instructions & procedures. ... Helps the leader polish his/her thoughts before s/he presents them to others.

What a leader needs to have is a leadership's style, the manner and the approach of providing direction, implementing plans, and motivating people. Kurt Lewin (1939) led a group of researchers to identify different styles of leadership. This early study has been very influential and established three major leadership styles.

To achieve a good leadership, there are 4 primary leadership styles, many of which s/he can find within most businesses or organizations around the world. These styles are: Dictatorial, Authoritative, Consultative, and Participative. Each of the leadership styles have impact on reforming and/or creating institution cultures. The most important aspect of being a leader is to UNDERSTAND HIS/HER SUBORDINATES AND VICE VERSE THE SUBORDINATES UNDERSTAND THEIR LEADER. IF MUTUAL UNDERSTANDING HAS BEEN WELL BUILT BETWEEN TWO SIDES OR PARTIES, THOSE PLANS, ACTIVITIES AND HOPES WILL BE SUCCESSFULLY GAINED AND REALIZED.
